This Privacy Policy explains how JL Cigars handles information associated with use of this website and the functions that are currently available.

• Event registrations: name, email address, optional phone number, optional notes, and the associated event.
• Memberships: name, email address, selected plan, subscription status information, Stripe-related identifiers, and the version and date of Membership Terms acceptance.
• Age confirmation: session state indicating that the visitor confirmed being 21 years of age or older.

2. Payment Information

Online payments currently available through the website are for memberships and are processed through Stripe Checkout. Stripe processes card details and other information necessary to complete payment. JL Cigars does not store complete payment-card details in the website database.

3. How We Use Information

Information may be used to respond to communications, administer event registrations, create and maintain memberships, process and document subscriptions, maintain website security and operation, resolve operational issues, and satisfy applicable legal or regulatory obligations.

4. Cookies and Sessions

The website uses an essential session cookie to maintain technical session state, including age confirmation and, where applicable, authentication functionality. The current public implementation does not contain detected analytics cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party advertising trackers. The website currently does not implement a separate response to browser Do Not Track signals; external providers may follow their own cross-site tracking practices. 5. Google Fonts

The website loads certain typefaces through Google Fonts. When a browser requests these resources, it connects to Google servers, and Google may receive technical request information such as the IP address and browser request headers. Processing by Google is subject to its own policies.

6. Service Providers

We may use service providers necessary to operate the website and its functions, including hosting services, email infrastructure, and Stripe for membership processing. These providers may process information in connection with the services they provide and according to their applicable obligations and terms.

7. Analytics and Advertising

The current public implementation does not contain Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or similar advertising or analytics trackers detected during our technical review.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to administer relationships and records, resolve disputes, maintain security, and satisfy applicable legal, tax, or regulatory requirements. The period may vary depending on the information and context. This policy does not impose a universal seven-year retention period on all information.

We use reasonable technical and administrative measures designed to protect information under our control. No Internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur.

11. Persons Under 21

JL Cigars is not directed to persons under 21 years of age. We do not seek to knowingly collect personal information from persons we know are under 21 through the public functions of this website.
